Federal Vision and the General Assembly

Yesterday I watched online the report and debate on Federal Vision at the PCA General Assembly. I was glad to see the PCA act; I was against the motion to delay and for the Report, but in my heart I have a great sadness too.

I hope we are not assaulting sincere and faithful reformed ministers who carry the title FV but do not embrace the positions chastised in the report. I hope God will have mercy on us, and that we as a denomination have acted wisely.

I prayed last night especially for those who may be wounded by the decision, that if they are unfairly assaulted, they will be patient and endure, and if they are in the errors the report rightly denounces, they will humbly accept correction.

Still i am confused and somewhat sad...i thought i would be happy to see the PCA address the issue; instead today i feel a little like Israel did after slaughtering Benjamin. Something had to be done, but i feel for our own!
